Around Arizona: Bisbee’s Pauken offered Benson city manager job

City manager Steve Pauken has notified the Bisbee City Council and Mayor Adrianna Badal that he has been offered the same position in Benson and is currently negotiating a contract for that job.

A committee of Benson officials met Thursday night and Pauken, who is currently vacationing with his family in Ohio, was contacted Friday and offered the job.

“Right now I am in contract negotiations with Benson officials, and I have not resigned my position as Bisbee City Manager,” Pauken said in a telephone interview Friday. “Pending the successful conclusion of those negotiations, I have notified the City Council and Mayor that I have been offered this position.”
