July figures indicate that real estate prices and activity in greater Flagstaff remain strong, said Steven Brighton with Century 21 Flagstaff Realty.
The median price for a detached, single-family house remained more than $300,000 for the second consecutive month. But Brighton points out that July is the first month of the third quarter, so he cannot make the same kind of comparison that he likes to make when judging the market.
“It’s always more important to look at figures in a longer-term time horizon,” Brighton said.
What happened last month is not as important as what happened last quarter, or the first half of the year, Brighton said.
“We put more emphasis on the longer-term time horizon and the resulting figures than we do on any individual month,” Brighton said.
