If you drove by the Coolidge Wal-Mart recently and noticed something different in the parking lot you weren’t mistaken.
The local retailer has joined a growing list of businesses that have put up solar parking to help with costs and also provide shade for parking in the summer heat. In many cases solar can help costs by almost half, and is the main reason for many businesses and homeowners to make the switch.
The solar structures appeared almost out of nowhere a few weeks ago, with the structures already close to completion. The two-lane construction is located on the south side of the parking lot, covering the first two lanes.
SolarCity is the solar provider for Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Toyota, and is also the company who has helped eBay, the United States Military and more than 1000 other organizations control their energy costs with solar.
