Perhaps the most outspoken skeptic among Wildhorse Estates residents when the town first presented its proposal to annex t hem three months ago said she still has unanswered questions, and worries the town’s code enforcement will eventually mean the loss of some of their animals.
Kelea Nevis said the subdivision — 84 lots of an acre or more each off Felix Road — is doing fine without the town of Florence. She and her husband, Jim, said this week they love Florence and spend time and money here.
But when it comes to actually living in Florence, “I don’t know what they can really offer us,” Kelea said. With other nearby areas expected to sign on to annexation, “we’re feeling outnumbered.
“… I don’t have enough information to know how to fight this process.”
