Here’s a football analogy for a baseball-related issue:
Punting is football’s most boring strategy. Yet sometimes the percentages urge caution.
Same goes for multimillion-dollar decisions by governmental bodies.
The Mesa City Council punted, wisely, on a decision to put together a Cactus League museum. Instead, the council sent to the voters two other proposals for bond issues. The election in November will go forward with about $131 million in requests for street and public-safety projects.
