Pinal court tightens records security

records-safetyClerk of the Superior Court Chad Roche said he has taken measures to improve security within department records.

Roche first claimed a “security issue” with his office’s case management system a couple of weeks ago. He said people in the Pinal County Attorney’s Office had viewed sealed court documents they weren’t allowed to see.

On Friday, his office issued a press release saying the issue is being resolved.

“The security of court records is an absolute non- negotiable,” Roche said in a statement. “And to be clear, at no time could a member of the general public access a sealed document — this was an issue of a department seeing some- thing they should not have been able to see, and we’re fixing it.”
