The Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted Wednesday to support two single-family residential developments that could bring as many as 150 new homes to the city.
Both projects will be considered by City Council for final approval Sept. 12.
One single-family subdivision, La Valenciana, would have as many as 70 homes near the northeastern corner of Pecos and Cooper roads.
The developer of this community brought two design plans, based on an unresolved question about whether a 2-acre section at the intersection could support homes.
That portion was formerly owned by ExxonMobil, which restricted it from being developed for homes, according to planning documents.
