Shea Homes is moving into Greer Ranch in Surprise, a master-planned community that appeared to have taken a knockout blow during the recession.
Homebuilding and buying is gaining speed this year in Greer Ranch and other master-planned communities across the West Valley, including Peoria’s Vistancia community.
In July, Shea announced a brisk first half of the year. A spokesman for the California-based builder said that that Shea communities in Peoria, Buckeye and Litchfield Park made up two-thirds of the company’s spring sales.
Shea recently bought 387 home sites in Greer Ranch, which is close to Loop 303 and bounded by Cactus Road and Peoria Avenue on the north and south and by Sarival Avenue and Reems Road on the west and east.
