City Clerk Ashlee Coronado said that a petition to recall Mayor Adriana Badal was taken out Monday.
Florence Scott, the wife of former city councilman and former mayoral candidate Bennie Scott, took out the petition and now has 120 days to collect 403 signatures from registered voters who cast ballots in the November, 2012, election.
“I’ve gotten 50 signatures so far,” Scott said Thursday. “I’ll be going door-to-door and will be at the Safeway and post offices. ”
When asked if she thought she would gather the required 403 signatures by the end of December, Scott said, “Yes.”
