The Valley’s housing market is making a comeback, with home values moving up, over the past 12 months.
But real estate experts warn that it’s too soon to celebrate, considering how far home prices fell during the recent housing crisis.
Valley homeowner and entertainer Mary Hollan pays close attention to her music, and the Valley’s real estate market.
“It just kept going down, down, down,” said Hollan. “I think everyone thought it would bottom out pretty soon. It just took a long time.”
The Goodyear woman said that the value of her home dropped 50 to 60 percent during the housing crisis, and even though home prices have come back this year, it’s not enough to offset what she’s lost.
