Democrat Nancy LaPlaca is reportedly moving to Denver and has withdrawn from the Arizona Corporation Commission race, the Yellow Sheet reports.
A Democrat source said LaPlaca couldn’t find work since her job as a senior policy adviser to former Corporation Commissioner Paul Newman ended after last year’s GOP sweep of the commission.
Jim Holway, who is on the board of the Central Arizona Project, is a Democrat running for the seat.
