Tall buildings and tall signs were on the agenda for the Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday.
But while the commission rejected a request from a property owner to place a 95-foot electronic sign in Palm Center Plaza on Florence Boulevard, action on plans for a proposed urban-style neighborhood on Casa Grande’s east side was pulled from the agenda.
The commission was scheduled to act on proposed changes to a preliminary development plan for 34 acres off Jimmie Kerr Boulevard, a project known as The Station II, but AZ Outlet Investments, which owns the property, requested a continuance.
“They have asked to postpone this indefinitely to address some of the staff concerns,” Planning and Development Director Paul Tice told the commission.
