Arizona Rep. Doris Goodale, R-Kingman, was listed in critical condition Monday and was being treated for a blood clot in her neck at Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.
However, the prognosis is good, according to family friend Margaret Nyberg.
“Things are looking really good,” Nyberg said. “She’s got some movement. She’s been responding to her name and giving people a thumbs up. She’s a tough old broad and doesn’t give up easily.”
Doctors were trying to determine if they will use surgery or medication to remove the clot, Nyberg said.
