Fewer than 50 local residents showed up to the elected official community forum last Saturday at the Freedom Family Church of Arizona City.
Hosted by Pinal County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Anthony Smith, members of the public had the chance at the forum to meet their state and county elected officials who gave updates to the audience, and held a question and answer session.
In attendance for the forum were Senator Al Melvin, Representatives Steve Smith and Adam Kwasman, Pinal County Treasurer Dodie Doolittle, Clerk of the Superior Court Chad Roche and School Superintendent Jill Broussard.
State Representative Steve Smith outlined some of the successes of the 2013 Legislative session.
Smith spoke about some of the highlights and accomplishments that he believes will help Casa Grande, the legislative district and Arizona as a whole continue to prosper. In this session, the Republican majority passed great reforms aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of various state agencies while passing key tax legislation that will promote job creation and fiscal stability.
