David Sayen, the man in charge of rolling out the Affordable Care Act in Arizona, explains how it will work.
How will people be able to sign up for federal insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act?
On Oct. 1, we will give Arizonans who are uninsured or buy their own coverage and would like to be able to shop around a new way to do that. We call it the Marketplace; it’s at healthcare.gov. The website has videos, checklists, resources and a live chat in English and Spanish. There is information about the qualified health plans, their benefits and prices before people make a choice.
People don’t have to be standing at the door like it was an iPhone. They’ve got six full months to come into coverage.
