Resorts and homes on lots of 1 acre or more.
Those have pretty much been the rules for development since Paradise Valley was established in 1961.
But that could change soon. The town is considering a new land use that would allow senior-living facilities.
A public meeting will be held to gather community input at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Currently the Planning Commission is reviewing the proposal.
When voters approved the General Plan in March 2012, they supported a policy calling for a communitywide discussion on the type of senior-lifestyle residential options appropriate for the town and where they are most appropriate, town planner Molly Hood said.
