Pima County Supervisor Ally Miller was the lone voice for home owners in the vote to allow a controversial housing development proposed along Sabino Canyon Road between East River and Cloud roads. The County received 66 letters opposing the development and only 27 supporting the plan.
Supervisors also received a petition in opposition signed by 120 people.
The developer is a supporter of the three democrats on the Board. Supervisor Ray Carroll joined the three democrats in ignoring the neighbors’ objection to the high density project.
