Residential home prices held steady from July to August of this year. The average price in August of residential sales in Pinal County was $151,092, with an average square footage of 2,006. The average price for July was $151,152, with an average square footage of 1,987. The preliminary numbers for August, 2013 show sales of 507 homes compared to 623 homes sold in July of 2013.
The August results were a decrease from the January, 2013 average of $165,585 but sales for the most recent month were still 10% above the year ago average from August of 2012.
Two properties tied for the highest sales price of $750,000 in August, 2013: a 4,400 sq. ft. home in Apache Junction and a 6,300 sq. ft. property in San Tan Valley.
