Tempe office building sells for $23.5 million

A large Tempe office building anchored by the University of Phoenix has been sold for $23.5 million, according to a statement Thursday from the Phoenix office of CBRE Inc. The buyers are a joint venture between Scottsdale-based Everest Holdings and Chicago-based Walton Street Capital. The two paid $105.20 per square foot for the facility, significantly higher than the Valleywide sales average of $71 per square foot for office space as of July, according to LoopNet.
