Scottsdale – A joint venture formed by Valley auto dealer Larry Van Tuyl and Craig Eisenberg of Eisenberg Co. in Phoenix plans to develop a 75,000-square-foot retail center at the southeast corner of Pinnacle Peak and Scottsdale roads in Scottsdale. The 12-acre site is owned by an entity formed by Van Tuyl. Eisenberg Co. has been working on developing the upscale retail project since early 2007 when the company had agreed to buy the site from Van Tuyl. So after more than six years of negotiations and overcoming an economic recession, Eisenberg Co. and Van Tuyl will now develop the center together. The planned retail plaza, which will be anchored by a 25,000-square-foot Sprouts store, is within a mixed-use project called Silverstone. The retail plaza, being called Silverstone Marketplace, is being designed by Ellerman Schick + Bruno in Phoenix. The engineer is Wood/Patel Associates Inc. in Phoenix.
