Three proposals to reduce the amount of land for commercial uses in favor of more homes are due for City Council consideration on Monday, Oct. 28.
In each case, Mesa’s staff support the General Plan amendments, and the Planning and Zoning Board concurred unanimously. The owners told the city that changing economic conditions and the configurations of the properties make the tracts unlikely candidates for business uses.
The council will conduct a public hearing for each request before voting. The meeting begins at 5:45 p.m. in council chambers, 57 E. First St.
