Cave Creek isn’t giving up on its challenge to Scottsdale’s claim of being the West’s Most Western Town.
Members of the Town Council and residents are planning to take to the podium at the Scottsdale City Council meeting Tuesday, Oct. 8, with a parade of followers ready to stand behind their claim to the slogan, which they say is more appropriate for their town.
The meeting could prove to be an Old West spectacle as Cave Creek continues to provoke the city into a spirited showdown.
The town officials have plans to arrive at the City Council meeting with members of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office mounted posse and the Cactus Shadows High School Marching Band in tow.
Mayor Vincent Francia, Vice Mayor Adam Trenk and others are expected to speak on the challenge.
