Decade of change alters commercial real estate brokerages

Ten years in the Valley’s commercial real estate sector may as well be eons as some companies rise to new heights while others fall victim to a vicious cyclical market.

The Great Recession claimed many commercial real estate firms, and this week’s list bears no resemblance to the one the Phoenix Business Journal compiled 10 years ago. Nearly half of the 2003 list companies have either gone out of business, shrunk so much that they didn’t make this year’s list, or been bought out by the competition.
