Drive on to retain troubled Arizona City fire chief

Longtime Arizona City resident John Trainor is collecting signatures for a petition to keep Paul Sabel as Arizona City Fire Chief. He plans to present this list of signatures to the Arizona City Fire District Governing Board at the district’s upcoming public meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

According to the AC Fire District’s tentative agenda for next week’s public meeting, the first item listed under the “old business” section indicates the board will have a discussion and take possible action on the Fire Chief’s salary and employment.

“It’s my belief that a motion will be made to fire him at the next board meeting on Wednesday, October 16, said Trainor.
