This Thursday, Jim Belfiore will review housing market conditions with clients at Belfiore Real Estate Consulting’s quarterly Market Update Presentation and Roundtable Session. Here’s a preview of a few of the event topics Belfiore anticipates discussing:
- Home sales have slowed dramatically in the last two months. Why? Has the slowdown been more dramatic than in previous “typical” years?
- The government shutdown will have a negative effect on the housing market. How much of an effect, though?
- The housing market is still humming for a few builders. Who? Where?
- The housing market didn’t perform as well as expected in 2013. What is expected in 2014?
- Infill development appears to be as strong as any period in the last decade. Why?
Following Belfiore’s 45 minute presentation on current conditions, the 60 housing market leaders in attendance will talk about what they think is going on in the changing market. When asked about the upcoming event, Belfiore said, “The last quarter should provide for some interesting discussion… Some in the industry seem to feel really good about the last 60 to 90 days, and others had higher, unmet expectations. I envision a good conversation after we get through the data.”
