Scottsdale resident Michael Auerbach has lived in Missouri, Vermont and California, and learned cooking in Paris.
“I could live anywhere I want,” the 46year-old chef and business owner said. “But chose to live in Scottsdale.”
Auerbach, owner of Escoffier Food in Scottsdale, is among five potential candidates to file papers so far for Scottsdale City Council in 2014.
The seats of Council members Bob Littlefield, Linda Milhaven and Dennis Robbins expire in early 2015. Robbins and Milhaven have said they are seeking re-election next year. Littlefield terms out in 2015 and is considering a run for the state House of Representatives in 2014.
To be listed on the ballot, candidates have to file petitions and nomination papers with the city between April 28 and May 28. At least 1,000 valid signatures are required.
