Scottsdale resident Michael Auerbach has lived in Missouri, Vermont and California, and learned cooking in Paris.

“I could live anywhere I want,” the 46year-old chef and business owner said. “But chose to live in Scottsdale.”

Auerbach, owner of Escoffier Food in Scottsdale, is among five potential candidates to file papers so far for Scottsdale City Council in 2014.
