Mesa may annex about 40 acres of county land near Adobe and Signal Butte roads in the hopes that developers will transform a stunted subdivision into a thriving neighborhood.
Paul Dugas, who has worked as director of land development for Blandford Homes, is pursuing the annexation on behalf of property owners Landholdings Investment Co.
A previous developer had graded and installed roads, utilities and perimeter walls for a proposed, 32-lot subdivision at the northwestern corner of Adobe and Signal Butte, but the plan didn’t get any further. If the property were to be annexed, the subdivision would develop with city utilities and under city guidelines for design standards, landscaping, screening and signage.
