The time is drawing near for a decision on who will be the next Pinal County manager.
Former County Manager Fritz Behring resigned at the end of June after he was hired to be the city manager in Scottsdale.
County supervisors went with an in-house choice for Behring’s interim replacement when they promoted Greg Stanley. Stanley was the assistant county manager of development services prior to working as interim manager.
Last Friday the board, through an agenda posted on the county website, announced the names of four finalists for the permanent county manager position. Stanley is one of the four.
The other three finalists are Dena R. Diorio, assistant county manager in Mecklenburg County, N.C.; Sandra L. Wilson, deputy county manager in Maricopa County; and Stuart Ed, executive director of general services at the city of El Paso, Texas.
