Mohave County is asking state legislators to stop sweeping money that is earmarked for the county.
The board of supervisors voted Monday to a request the Arizona legislators to stop shifting Highway User Revenue Funds away from Mohave County and the other 14 counties.
The County Supervisors Association listed three issues as priorities for the 2014 Arizona state legislature, including eliminating the shifting of highway revenue from counties to fund several state departments, return its share of lottery revenue back to the county and stop the county’s requirement to pay to house sexual violent persons at the Arizona State Hospital.
