Real estate blog Movoto.com ranked the East Valley city 10th on its list of most creative midsized cities.
Among the criteria used were (per capita) art-supply stores, galleries, bookstores and higher-learning institutes.
Salt Lake City came in at No. 1, followed by Pasadena, Calif. Other Western cities were: 5. Torrance, Calif.; 6. Fort Collins, Colo.; and 8. Eugene, Ore.
