County board scales down lobbying notion

The Mohave County supervisors narrowly approved Monday hiring a temporary employee to monitor state legislation that would affect Mohave County.

District 5 Sup. Steve Moss of Fort Mohave said it would be more cost effective to hire a temporary employee to monitor the bills that are proposed by the state legislature. He also said the supervisors can be more engaged with the state senator and representatives in tracking proposed bills and said he opposes hiring a Phoenix lobbying firm.
