County to issue its permits from Phoenix City Hall in February

Need a dust-control permit to go along with your building permit? Soon, you won’t need to drive all over downtown. You can just head to City Hall in Phoenix.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and Phoenix City Council this month announced plans to house permits under one roof starting in February.

The county’s permitting counter services will move to City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., on the second floor, where the city’s water and zoning permits are housed.

Under the agreement, the county will pay $150 per month to Phoenix to lease space for up to three years. The partnership is about streamlining permits for businesses, city officials said.
