North Peoria residents of an active-adult community are divided over Shea Homes’ expansion plans.
Peoria City Council members called for Trilogy at Vistancia residents to find a way to mend the rift after they approved a rezoning proposal that will allow Shea Homes to build the expansion. The 360 acres previously was zoned for three separate housing developments, none of them by Shea Homes.
Shea, which owns Trilogy, instead plans to turn the land to the north and west into Trilogy West, a 55-or-older community. Shea plans to annex Trilogy West into Trilogy’s homeowners association within the next few weeks and have homes under construction in fall 2014.
