If you can get past the multiple layers of security — and that’s a big if — what you’ll find at the heart of the new building at Germann and Price roads looks like a high-end public storage facility.
But you won’t find the contents of someone’s apartment or the excess inventory of a small business behind the doors of these storage lockers. Each suite will contain computers with billions of bytes of information in a carefully controlled environment.
The 130,000-square-foot data center opens Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 2600 W. Germann Road. NextFort has a small roster of clients from as nearby as California and as far away as Japan, but has the capacity to expand.
