rural metroRural/Metro Corp. is poised to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy within the next few weeks.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware just confirmed the company’s reorganization plan.

Scott Bartos, president and CEO of the Scottsdale-based private ambulance and fire protection provider, said the company will emerge with 50 percent less debt, greater capital flexibility and the resources to continue investing in patient care. Continue reading
