The Scottsdale City Council and City Manager Fritz Behring have made redeveloping the McDowell Road corridor a top priority, and staff is working on proposals for making that happen in the coming years.
Addressing the Los Arcos redevelopment plan, which was approved for a 20-year time frame in July 1996, could be one option to be considered by the council, said Danielle Casey, city’s economic-development director. She gave a presentation on the plan during the Dec. 12 meeting of the council’s subcommittee on economic development.
Staff will be bringing information to the subcommittee again in February, which will be considered as recommendations for the full City Council to consider, Casey said.
