Home sales in the Chandler area continue a recovery from the recession, and economist Elliott Pollack predicts a “slow but mildly accelerating recovery” in 2014.
Pollack discussed trends for the Southeast Valley with The Arizona Republic before his annual prognostication of national and Valley economic trends at Pinal Partnership’s December meeting at Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass near Chandler, attended by government and corporate representatives.
Pollack’s theme for the year-end review emphasized a slow recovery in 2014, hewing to his prediction that 2015 will be a “decent” year. Leavened with humor, Pollack offered adjectives like “anemic” and “lackluster” to describe short-term prospects for economic recovery. He says he has a “sense of optimism.”
