Avondale Council sets goals for next budget

Avondale City Council approved its fiscal 2014-15 goals, which include pay increases of 3 to 5 percent for employees.

The goals serve as the framework for preparing the fiscal 2014-15 budget. The fiscal year begins July 1.

The council also wants to focus on attracting medical and technology companies and increasing youth and amateur sports, boosting office construction, spurring more manufacturing and moving forward with the City Center project.
