Recall petitions against six Town Council members are flying around Cave Creek.
Six of them. If you are counting, that would mean every member of the Cave Creek council elected last year save Mayor Vincent Francia could be recalled by April.
That’s a tough crowd in Cave Creek. So, what’s driving all this political fury? That’s a good question. There are two recall groups, but activists on both sides are tight-lipped about their motives.
The petitions circulated by one of the two recall groups cite four of the recall targets for fiscal irresponsibility, misrepresenting the public in the last election and a lack of transparency. Petitions filed against the remaining two council members mimic the complaints from the other side.
