EPA wants stricter pollution controls at Arizona plants, mines

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency wants new pollution controls on a half-dozen Arizona industrial facilities — including two copper mines and two cement plants. The EPA contends the pollution controls will reduce smog and improve air quality and visibility at national parks and wilderness areas of the state.
