Investors foresee megapolitan

Arizona’s population is on track to reach 10.2 million by 2040 — a near 60 percent jump from today. This momentous growth has many experts convinced Phoenix and Tucson will become a single “megapolitan” within that three-decade time frame — and real estate investors are taking note. Last week, the city of Mesa closed a deal to sell roughly 11,400 acres of Pinal County farmland for nearly $135 million to Scottsdale investment firm Pinal Land Holdings LLC.
