Anthony Smith of Maricopa was elected chairman of the Pinal County Board of Supervisors at the board’s first meeting of 2014 Wednesday.
Smith was vice chairman of the board last year. Todd House of Apache Junction was elected vice chairman.
The board typically elects new officers every January.
Both men are Republicans and each just completed their first year as supervisors, following their November 2012 election to county office.
