Surprise seeks hopefuls for Dist. 2 Council seat

The search is on to replace Surprise City Councilman Richard Alton.

Alton’s official last day as a councilman was Dec. 31 and the city seeks applicants to fill the District 2 seat that will represent neighborhoods such as Sun City Grand and part of Arizona Traditions.

Candidates must live within the District 2 boundaries that were set during the 2011 redistricting process. The district is bordered by Grand Avenue to the northeast, Bell Road to the south and Canal Road to the northwest.
