Chandler – Federal Express plans to house a new regional food distribution center in a 300,000-square-foot project being developed in Chandler through a build-to-suit agreement. Sources say SunCap Property Group in Charlotte, N.C. (Flint McNaughton, pres.) will serve as developer and is under contract to acquire a parcel located west of the northwest corner of Queen Creek and Gilbert roads. The property for the planned distribution project is located within Chandler Crossroads, a 77-acre mixed-use project being developed by a division of The Rockefeller Group in New York City, N.Y. A company formed by SunCap Property Group has agreed to pay $12.55 million ($6 per foot) to buy the 48-acre site in a deal slated to close by the end of March. Continued
