City Property Management Company Aids Client To Swiftly Make Needed Change
NEWS RELEASE
(CHANDLER, Ariz.) – The Carrillo Ranch Homeowners Association is eliminating its restrictions on medical marijuana that prohibited its use on resident yards and patios.
The community’s HOA board, which is a client of City Property Management, changed its policy after getting input from impacted residents and the public. The Carrillo Ranch Board responded immediately to the advocacy from its residents who gave it more information to make a better informed decision. It was never the HOA’s intent to infringe upon the access and rights of medical marijuana patients. The HOA, like many Arizonans, continues to learn more about this complex issue.
City Property Management, which manages homeowners associations including Carrillo Ranch, says the public’s response on this has been heard loud and clear. City Property is pleased with the outcome, and proud to work with the proactive community association of Carrillo Ranch who listened and responded quickly to its residents’ concerns. This is a demonstration of good leadership and should remind the public that HOA boards do listen, respond and act with the best interests of their membership. City Property quickly organized options for Board consideration which voted to rescind its previous action Thursday night. Notices were sent out to residents in Friday’s mail.
City Property’s President Brian Lincks said, “Carrillo Ranch’s decision to lift its restrictions on medical marijuana on individual resident properties was the right decision and we back it. We will also make sure to use what we have learned about this issue to assist other HOA’s should the need arise. This was truly a teachable moment not only for us, our client, but also HOA’s all over the country that must adopt to changing and evolving laws on medical marijuana.”
