As residents saw a light at the end of the tunnel on the billboard fight with the expected vote at the Feb. 25 city council meeting, Becker Boards filed a last minute request to have the measure be sent back to workshop March 18 and a re-vote March 25.
“I received a request on behalf of the applicant Becker Boards asking that the council continue this case to March 25 city council meeting,” City Manager Brenda Fischer said. “In response and due to the public interest in this item, I am recommending that the council move this issue to the March 18 workshop, followed by a vote at the council meeting on March 25.”
The council voted 5-2 to send the issue back to workshop to the loud boos from the crowd.
