Cave Creek Council rejects ban on texting in meetings

The Cave Creek Town Council has rejected a ban on text messaging during public meetings.

The item was suggested by Councilman Thomas McGuire, who had prompted the discussion in the interest of open government.

After speaking with staff, however, he said texting during meetings hasn’t become enough of an issue to create policy banning it.
