The Scottsdale National Golf Club may sit alone on a patch of desert in far North Scottsdale, but it won’t have solitude for long.
The course will be joined by roughly 1,000 homes as part of three nearby developments — Sierra Reserve, Sereno Canyon and Reata Ranch. Experts have mixed opinions about how Bob Parsons’ new invitation-only plan for his recently purchased private golf course will impact the area.
Sierra Reserve, Lyle Anderson Cos.’ latest project, is moving fastest. It abuts Scottsdale National at 122nd
Street and Dynamite Boulevard. The project — which calls for more than 250 high-end homes and a boutique hotel — was approved by the Scottsdale City Council last summer. Home sales there began last month.
