It was a full house at the Glendale City Council meeting Tuesday night.
The hot topic was the possibility of putting up huge billboards in the area of the Loop 101 and Bell.
“We don’t need to have billboards in our neighborhoods. They’re 85 feet tall. To me, they represent urban blight,” said neighbor Doug Holmes.
Holmes was one of many people sporting green stickers that said “No Billboards”. But the Council never took up the issue.
At the start of the meeting, Council members held a vote to table the billboard issue until another exploratory workshop in March.
